Immortalized on the Web for All to See!
Saturday the Rhodes clan gathered to celebrate Grandpa and the anniversary of his birth. We had a DELICIOUS pot luck dinner, and then the traditional Rhodes talent show (although a somewhat abbreviated one). We had two virtuoso pre-teens play amazingly complicated pieces on the piano and then it was time for Kent. The highlight of the evening!
I love the adoring way Grandma and Grandpa are looking at Kent. You can tell by the backs of their heads how proud they are. We had the favorites from the repetoire including my favorite "Lady of Spain". You can see how much I like it by the size of my smile.
I can't help but smile when Kent plays the accordion. I decided right then and there that I would have an accordion player at my funeral. Kent, if you outlive me will you do the honors?
We had a fun time catching up with the cousins (James looks like he has indigestion).
What a great family. We wish we could have all been there. We are missing you, Darcy, Travis, Jenni, Ethan, & Calvin!

Um, I just got on to post some photos, and lo and behold, A POST! MAN do I wish I could have been there. I never even HEARD that this happened. A classic Rhodes gathering.
