The Comcast Technician

Absolute true story. We had a Comcast technician at the house today and Ethan got off the bus from school. He noticed someone in the backyard and totally froze. He tensed up and Jenni asked him what was wrong and he said all quiet:
Ethan: “Todd.”
Jenni: “You think that’s your Uncle Todd? Man, it really does look like Todd from in here.”
Ethan: “Yeah”

He sometimes gets a little tense when he sees someone at our house he hasn’t seen in a long time. He was positively freaked out by Grandpa last month, but now loves to repeat all the funny things he did when he was here. We think it's because he knows it means something bigger than normal is happening. Jenni thinks it was also because Todd wasn’t even saying hi or anything, just lurking around the outside of the house in a tool belt.

He was able to deal with it better once Jenni told him who it really was.
“No Ethan, that’s not Todd. Her name is Larissa, and she’s here to fix our TV.”

I totally freeze up when Todd walks around in the backyard with a tool belt... I relax when he comes back inside and puts his clothes on.

Todd is more likely to be mistaken as "the Verizon guy".
